- 1. Introduction
- 1.2.1. "RHS", "we" or "us" refers to R.H.S. Enterprises Limited (“RHSE”), a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 1211648 whose registered office is at 80 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PE. RHSE is the trading subsidiary of the Royal Horticultural Society, a charity registered in England and Wales and Scotland with registered charity numbers 222879/SC038262.
- 1.2.2. "You" refers to the purchaser and/or the user of the RHS Gift Card or eGift Card.
- 1.2. In these Terms:
- 1.3. By purchasing and/or using a RHS Gift Card or eGift Card, you agree to be bound by and accept these Terms. In addition, if you purchase a RHS Gift Card or eGift Card online at giftcards.rhs.org.uk, you agree to be bound by and accept the additional terms relating to a gift card purchased online at Annex A.
- 2. Using your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card
- 2.1. You may use your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card to purchase eligible items at any participating RHS Garden Centre or RHS store and online at RHS Plants. Participating Garden Centres can be found here. Participating stores include The Plant Space at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, and RHS retail stands at RHS Shows.
- 2.2. The following exclusions apply to your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card: entrance tickets to RHS Gardens, events and food and beverage at RHS Gardens, RHS Show tickets, third-party retail stands and food and beverage at RHS Shows, RHS memberships, RHS courses, RHS Gift Cards and eGift Cards, and RHS Partner Gardens.
- 2.3. Your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card cannot be exchanged for cash. We do not give change or refunds on gift cards.
- 2.4. If you are using your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card and the amount of your purchase is less than the value on your gift card, any balance will remain on your gift card and may be applied to future purchases, provided that the gift card has not expired.
- 2.5. If an item purchased using an RHS Gift Card or eGift is refunded, this will be refunded back onto a gift card.
- 2.6. You may check the balance on your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card at a participating RHS Garden Centre or RHS store or online at giftcards.rhs.org.uk/balance-check. You may not top up the balance on your gift card.
- 2.7. We may refuse to accept damaged RHS Gift Cards or any RHS Gift Card or eGift Card which we believe has been stolen, duplicated, tampered with or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud.
- 3. Expiration and Cancellation
- 3.1. Your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card is valid for 24 months from purchase. After 24 months, we will not refund any balance remaining and will invalidate the gift card.
- 3.2. We may cancel your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card if we suspect it has been stolen or is being used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.
- 4. Loss, Theft and Damage
- 4.1. Please take care of your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card and treat it like cash. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards or for funds used on the gift card without your knowledge.
- 5. Resale/Use in Promotions
- 5.1. You may not resell your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card.
- 5.2. RHS Gift Cards and eGift Cards may not be used in promotions including as giveaways in competitions or prize draws without our prior written consent.
- 5.3. The RHS may cancel any gift card that it suspects has been obtained via an unauthorised sale or promotional activity.
- 6.1. The RHS will process personal data about you, and/or about the recipient of the RHS Gift Card or eGift Card if different, that you provide when you complete our online enquiry form or email us about your gift card. This may include your and/or the recipient’s name, address and email address for the purpose of dealing with your enquiry.
- 6.2. We are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of UK Data Protection legislation.
- 6.3. Unless you have consented to receive other information from the RHS, we will delete your and/or the recipient’s personal data six months following any enquiry. Please read the RHS’ full RHS Privacy Policy to find out more about how the RHS uses your personal data and how to exercise your rights under UK Data Protection legislation.
- 7.1. Except as set out below, the RHS will not be liable to you for any direct, indirect or consequential losses, howsoever arising, in connection with your use of a RHS Gift Card or eGift Card. If your RHS Gift Card or eGift Card is non-functional, your sole remedy, and our sole liability, will be the replacement of such gift card. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability which cannot legally be limited.
- 8.1. The RHS may amend these Terms from time to time where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. We will make the current Terms available on the RHS’s website and at giftcards.rhs.org.uk/terms-and-conditions Please check to ensure you comply with the current Terms.
- 9.1. These Terms constitute the entire agreement and understanding between us and you in relation to your purchase and use of a RHS Gift Card or eGift Card.
- 9.2. If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severable from these Terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions of these Terms.
- 9.3. Any failure or delay by us in enforcing (in whole or in part) any provision of these Terms will not be interpreted as a waiver of our rights or remedies.
- 9.4. Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms.
- 10.1. These Terms are governed by English law. You agree, as we do, to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Annex A - Additional terms relating to a RHS Gift Card or eGift Card purchased online (“Online RHS Gift Cards”)
- 1. Sales of Online RHS Gift Cards at giftcards.rhs.org.uk/home (“Site”) are managed and fulfilled by Jigsaw Business Solutions Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 8663917 whose registered office is at Unit 14 Hove Business Centre, Fonthill Road, Hove England, BN3 6HA (“Jigsaw”).
- 2. Online RHS Gift Cards ordered through the Site will:
- 2.1. in the case of a physical online RHS Gift Card (“Physical Gift Card”), be sent to the delivery address stated on the order. Physical Gift Cards are normally dispatched by Jigsaw within two working days unless a specified later delivery date is requested; and
- 2.2. in the case of email online eGift Cards (“Email Gift Cards”), be dispatched by email by Jigsaw to the designated email address as soon as payment for the gift card has been cleared unless a later specified delivery date is requested. Neither Jigsaw nor the RHS will be liable for Email Gift Cards that cannot be delivered due to the recipient's spam filters, firewalls, capacity of the mailbox, or any other factors outside of Jigsaw’s and the RHS’s reasonable control.
- 3. Where possible we will try to meet all delivery requirements but neither Jigsaw nor the RHS will be liable for any loss incurred, either directly or indirectly, by failure to meet the delivery date indicated at the time of the order.
- 4. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery physical or email address entered is correct. Neither Jigsaw nor the RHS will be responsible for the incorrect delivery of Online RHS Gift Cards due to an error by you (such as, a mis-typed address).
- 5. Online RHS Gift Card quantities should be checked immediately upon receipt by the purchaser. Please contact Customer Services here immediately with any discrepancies.
- 6. Cleared payment is required prior to the dispatch of an order. Payment is taken automatically at the time of purchase by Jigsaw. Your credit/debit card statement will read ‘RHS Gift Card’. Jigsaw or the RHS may decline any order without providing an explanation. The RHS will not be given access to your credit/debit card details.
- 7. You have a right to cancel an unused Online RHS Gift Card within 14 days after the day you received the gift card (which, for Email Gift Cards will be at the time of transmission, and for Physical Gift Cards will be deemed to be two working days after the date of dispatch). If you cancel, we will refund what you paid, including any delivery costs (subject to paragraph 8 below), within 30 days of cancellation.
- 8. We only refund standard delivery costs. We don’t refund any extra you have paid for express delivery or delivery on a particular date.
- 9. To cancel, please contact Customer Services here. Please clearly state you wish to cancel the purchase of your Online Gift Card and confirm the Online Gift Card number and your original order details.
- 10. Data processing: The RHS is the Controller and Jigsaw is the Processor, as defined under the UK GDPR, for the personal data processed in connection with the Online RHS Gift Cards.
- 10.1. Jigsaw will process personal data about you, and/or about the recipient of the Online RHS Gift Card if different, that you provide when purchasing an Online RHS Gift Card. This may include your and/or the recipient’s name, address and email address for the purpose of delivering the gift card. If you are the purchaser, Jigsaw will also process your payment information, to take payment for the gift card.
- 10.2. The RHS will process personal data about you, and/or the recipient of an Online RHS Gift Card if different, that you provide when you complete our online enquiry form or email us about your gift card. This may include your and/or the recipient’s name, address and email address for the purpose of dealing with the enquiry.
- 10.3. You agree that the information you provide to Jigsaw will be true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. You also agree to notify the RHS of any changes in this information by contacting giftcards@rhs.org.uk
- 10.4. If you purchase an Online RHS Gift Card (except if you are an existing Jigsaw customer), your and/or the recipient’s personal data will be held by Jigsaw for 2 years for the purposes of fraud and accounting. All other personal data provided to Jigsaw (where a purchase is not made), will be held by Jigsaw for 6 months for the purposes of fraud prevention. Your personal data will be anonymised after the above-mentioned time periods.
